Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept insurance?

Leaps-n-Bounds accepts many health plans and all PPO’s. To verify insurance benefits for occupational therapy services, we would need a copy of the insurance card along with your child’s name, date of birth, address, phone number, and the name of the primary insurance carrier.

  • Do you accept TriCare/TriWest?

Leaps-n-Bounds has partnered with P.T. in Motion to accept TriCare/TriWest patients. For those with TriCare/TriWest prime, families must contact their pediatrician to receive a prescription and pre-authorization prior to receiving therapy services. It can take approximately 5 business days to receive authorization from the physician’s office. For those with TriCare/TriWest standard, this is essentially a PPO in which patients can self-refer. Please contact our office for details and specific questions.

  • What is the process for scheduling an appointment?

Typically, we would discuss your child’s needs to determine if and what type of evaluation will be needed to begin. After checking your child’s benefit details, we can move forward to schedule the evaluation and then determine the type of service delivery that will best meet your child’s needs.

  • Does your office offer other services in addition to occupational therapy?

Leaps-n-Bounds has partnered with The Speech Station, P.T. in Motion, and C.A.S.E., to offer our clients speech therapy, physical therapy, and A.B.A./behavioral support services, respectively. Please click on the links to each company’s website to get more information regarding their respective services.

  • Does your office accept San Diego Regional Center clients?

Leaps-n-Bounds is a vendor with San Diego Regional Center. You will need to contact your SDRC case manager to request that your child’s therapy services be provided at Leaps-n-Bounds.

  • Who sends the claims to my insurance company?

Leaps-n-Bounds will be more than happy to bill your insurance company for you. An adjusted bill is then forwarded to you for any additional amounts owed at the end of each month.
